Just Released a New Single – Silence

A long time ago I wrote a poem called Silence, which you can view here. It was inspired by my time at school being bullied. It is about how bullying can force you into silence, and about how it’s important to break free of that silence because that’s how you free yourself from your abusers.

I recently decided to have a go at transforming that poem into a song, so transforming it into a musical poem. As ever, I used Suno AI to do this, it truly is an amazing platform.

My process was coming up with an inspiration, which consisted of me reciting the poem how I wanted it to be sung, and then adding some prompts and creating a musical cover of me reciting the poem.

I chose a piano for the main instrument, and guided the AI to produce the rhythm I wanted it to. I used humming this time, as my hands were not in good shape so playing the piano was out of the question.

It truly is amazing how Suno can take your inspiration for how you want it to sound, and bring it to life near enough exactly how you want it to be. It takes time to get it, but the fact it can get there is impressive.

I truly hope you enjoy listening this, I’m very proud of the outcome. It really captures the essence of the poem.
