The Dictator – a Poem by David Graham

The world is mine,

do you oppose me,

do you have the right?

Even if you do,

do you really think you can fight?

The world is mine,

and there’s nothing you can do.

If it was yours,

I would take it from you.

But it’s mine.

Mine. Mine. Mine. You hear me?

And even if you’re rich,

if you oppose me,

I’ll drop you in a ditch.

Yes, I am beyond question,

beyond doubt,

to confront me is to ask to be taken out.

So challenge me if you dare,

I’ll leave you broken and bear,

for I am the dictator,

and my rule is an unstoppable freighter.

Yes, there’s nothing you can do,

what is right, is my might

because the world is mine.

Mine. Mine. Mine.

Thanks for reading, I truly hope you enjoyed it! This poem was inspired by the rise in global dictatorship, and the increasing desire by many to enforce people into subjugation.
