I’ve published nearly a dozen short stories over the years, but I wanted to try something more substantial, this led me to write Terror on the Mind, a novelette (a long short story). It’s a spy thriller about a man caught up in a terrorist plot, and as of today, it is live as an e-book on Amazon, it is also available on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited.

Here’s the blurb:

One man tells him his name is Jackson, and he is a CIA agent tasked with stopping an impending terror attack, the other tells him his name is Sa’id, and he is the man duty-bound to carry out the terror act; with his memories lost, he has to find his true identity before it’s too late.

I’ve also got some cool quotes, one from author and short story judge Allen Ashley, who did a critique for me:

“A scintillating short novella that leaves you guessing till the end.”

Another from Elicia Jane, a writer from Medium:

“Fast-paced, riveting, and an ending that leaves you questioning everything. Perfect for an evening read or a plane/train journey!”

This is my first self-published story of any kind, so I’m very proud of it. The journey to writing it and releasing it was a long one. In 2014, a friend of mine from university asked me to write a story to contribute to a collection of short stories that would be published. I wrote a version of Terror on the Mind for this collection.

However, I was never entirely happy with it. Something just didn’t work for me and then about a year ago, I decided to look at it again, and that was when everything just came together and the story finally worked. The end result I am very proud of and I am so happy to release today.

Thanks to all who read it and I hope all who read it enjoy it!
